Photography With Classic Lenses (PWCL) started as a Facebook group. Karl Havens and Derrick Steed were the founders. Today, PWCL has more than 10,000 members on Facebook.
Late in 2017, Simon Forster had the bright idea of doing a podcast on the topic of Classic Lenses, and he was joined in this adventure by Karl Havens and Johnny Sisson.
We were devastated to lose Karl in April of 2019, when he passed away unexpectedly. Karl is always in our hearts, and each episode of the podcast ends with the dedication "if you can, be like Karl". He was truly the best of us.
The podcast continues today, with our man Perry Ge co-hosting from Hong Kong. Perry is a Canadian super nerd with an unstoppable rangefinder obsession.
